We started Elikia because we noticed something: the good news rarely made it to the front page. We knew there were people, businesses, and groups doing the work — quietly, consistently, and with impact.
Every day, there are people starting businesses that hire locally. Teachers showing up for kids beyond the classroom. Neighbors organizing clean-ups. Nonprofits solving problems with almost nothing.
Their work matters. But too often, it goes unseen.
So we built Elikia — a place to find these stories, sit down with the people behind them, and celebrate the impact they’re making.
Because when we see hope in action, we remember what’s possible. And we’re inspired to do our part too.

Meet The Founder
Elikia started because I got tired of only seeing problems in the news. I knew there were people in our communities building solutions every single day — teachers, founders, neighbors. They just weren’t being seen. So I picked up my phone, my notebook, and started asking questions. One story turned into ten. Ten turned into a mission. Elikia means hope. And my job is to make sure that hope has a voice. To inform people about what’s working, inspire them with what’s possible, and empower the people doing the work to go further.
